Mubasher: Al Ahleia Insurance reported a decrease of 4.4% in profits during the third quarter of 2018 compared to the same period in the previous year.

Earnings declined to KWD 2.19 million ($7.23 million) in Q3-18 from KWD 2.29 million ($7.56 million) in Q3-17, according to a bourse statement on Wednesday.

During the first nine months of 2018, profits increased by 9.2% to KWD 7.74 million compared to KWD 7.09 million in the corresponding period a year ago.

Al Ahleia Insurance noted that the growth in profits is attributed to higher operating revenue.
